Terms and Conditions

This is a list of our terms and conditions. All purchases are in Sterling and are accepted using PayPal. You do not require an account to purchase using PayPal. You can complete the purchase by entering your card details as a guest.

All items that are not in stock will be back ordered and payment will not be taken until the goods are dispatched. If you prefer you can order by telephone or email.

We operate a PRICE MATCH policy if you find goods cheaper including postage/delivery and free regrind we will either match it or beat if it is financially viable for us to do so. You must supply proof of the cheaper advertised price.

DELIVERY CHARGES
For the UK
At Skaters Edge, we like to keep things simple.
All in stock items under £10 will be despatched within 2 workings day of purchase and delivered within 3-5 working days. This service costs £4.50 and will be added automatically at checkout.

All in stock items over £10 will be despatched within 2 workings day of purchase and delivered on a Next Day delivery basis This service costs £8.00 and will be added automatically at checkout.

Skates and equipment over £150.00 inc. vat will be sent Free of charge. (FREE DELIVERY ON ORDERS OVER £150 INC. VAT DOES NOT APPLY TO INTERNATIONAL ORDERS, OR OFFSHORE ISLANDS OR NORTHERN IRELAND ORDERS).

Our delivery company will Email you your tracking details so you can follow your parcel all the way to your doorstep.

Please note that all orders made through our website (skatersedge.co.uk) are only accepted once dispatched and not upon receiving email confirmation after payment. All orders must be approved prior to despatch. once it has delivered the goods. The processing of a payment and acknowledgement of an order does not constitute a legally binding contract.

If we don't have it in stock then provided our suppliers have it in stock then delivery should be in 4-5 days. Anything else would be on back order and you would be notified of the expected delivery date by e mail.
All deliveries by courier have to be signed for, if there is no one at home the driver will leave a card.

For the rest of the World
Please call us for postage prices, postage times are based on the delivery service provider (such as UPS, Interlink and Parcel Force).

If the item you order is in stock then delivery should be on our next day service. If we don't have it in stock then provided our suppliers have it in stock then delivery should be in 4-5 days. Anything else would be on back order and you would be notified of the expected delivery date by e mail.

All deliveries by courier have to be signed for, if there is no one at home the driver will leave a card.

BACK ORDERS
If an item is not in stock, we will back order it for you should you wish. However you will be e-mailed to give the option to cancel the order.

TAX CHARGES
For all orders from the UK or the EU Vat will be levied at 20.00% where appropriate.

GUARANTEES
All clothing and equipment are guaranteed for 90 days from the date of purchase, subject to normal usage for the product and a receipt showing the date of purchase. The defective parts will be repaired/replaced at our discretion. Items worn out through general use are not covered by warranty.

All skates are guaranteed for 90 days from date of purchase. This covers manufacturing defects and not normal wear and tear. Some skate blades are warranted for 12 months against breakage please contact us for details.

In line skates, skate boards are not covered for breakage due to excess wear due to the nature of the sport.

Ice hockey sticks, shafts and stick blades are not guaranteed due to the nature of the sport.

We do not disclose information to anyone else. Cookies are only used on the Skaters Edge website to keep track of your activity and shopping cart items. We also store your delivery address and keep your details securely so we can contact you with special offers etc.
We do NOT store any credit card information.

EXCHANGES
If you are not satisfied with the items you have purchased or if you find that your skates don't fit then provided they have not been worn and are unmarked then we will exchange them for a different size. All items have to be returned in the condition in which they were dispatched and in their original un-marked boxes. You are able to return the item to us for an exchange within 14 days of purchase. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

POSTAGE COSTS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.
If you need to return the skates for a different size we would suggest you post them back to us (1st class parcel post is the cheapest method) we would advise you to take out the optional insurance. Please wrap the box securely in brown paper to protect the box. You will be responsible for the postage for the replacement skates. If the items are too large to return through Royal Mail (as suggested on the returns form) then we suggest that you try the following company www.Parcels2Go.com who will collect the parcel from you and deliver it to us. The returned items are your responsibility until received by us. Once received we will check the items and either dispatch the exchange product or issue you a refund if you so wish. All refunds are credited to the method of payment originally used (either PayPal or Card payment).

RETURNS FOR REFUNDS
Should you wish to return an item(s) for a refund, providing you paid the postage we will refund the full value of the item. However if you received free postage there will be a return to stock charge of £8.00 which will be deducted from the refund amount. This applies to all items over £150.00 inc.VAT. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

It is necessary to charge a restocking fee to reflect the fact that Skaters Edge Ltd will have to hold an item specially ordered for a customer on their request/order that has been returned, this item will unlikely be resold within a reasonable time frame and therefore we may have discount the item to clear. Whenever possible we do not charge this but High End products or ones of unusually high value usually attract a re-stocking fee of 30%. Items with, but not solely limited to a net value of £150.00 or more are considered to be special order unless otherwise specified.

Any order received that the customer considers damaged, used (if not so ordered as), Markably different (without being advised) or incomplete MUST be advised to Skaters Edge Ltd within 24hours of receipt (or 1 business day) and no later than 7 days after receipt. The responsibility of contact lies with the customer. Receipt of goods/order shall be the date signed for or for Postal - within 3 working days of posting. Notification after 7 days (Sale of goods act 1994 reasonable time) will not be considered.

MISTAKE WITH ORDER - RETURNS
In the unlikely case that we make a mistake and send you the incorrect items, we will cover return postage costs and send you the correct item. Please contact us via Email or Phone before returning the item.

If you return goods that are faulty or that we had sent in error then we will refund your return postage costs for standard delivery using the method of payment originally used (either PayPal or Card payment).

If you believe an item to be faulty please contact us using via Email or Phone to discuss the situation.
Once we receive the returned item, we will check them and either dispatch the exchanged product or issue you a refund if you so wish. All refunds are credited to the method of payment originally used (PayPal).

If your item is deemed ‘faulty’, we will need to return it to our supplier and then process an exchange or full refund via PayPal.
If your item are deemed as ’not faulty’, for a full refund the item must be returned in the condition in which they were dispatched and in their original un-marked boxes. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
